Job description
As an Automated Line Programmer (SMT), you will play a key role in the performance of our SMT assembly lines.
Reporting to the Director of Operational Excellence and Special Projects, the Automated Line Programmer (SMT) is responsible for programming, startup, and adjustments during production, while collaborating with production teams to optimize processes.
Responsibilities
- Program and optimize SMT assembly lines according to product and customer specifications.
- Ensure the startup and setup of production lines.
- Provide technical support on automated lines.
- Perform production line validation for all new programs and ensure smooth operation.
- Maintain accurate documentation of programs and configurations.
- Follow procedures and instructions.
- Meet IPC standards.
- Communicate work progress and encountered difficulties to the director.
- Participate in the continuous improvement of manufacturing processes;
- Work as a team with operators as well as other programmers.
- Any other related tasks.
Technical Knowledge
- Knowledge of electronic components (values / polarities).
- Knowledge of SMT machines and associated programming software.
- Previous experience in an electronics production environment.
- Knowledge of IPC-A-610 manufacturing standards.
- Programming of automated machinery (Universal, DEK).
- Knowledge of other SMT assembly equipment, an asset.
- General knowledge of ISO 9001:2015, IATF 16949:2016 standards.
