Responsibilities

  • Program and optimize SMT assembly lines according to product and customer specifications.
  • Ensure the startup and setup of production lines.
  • Provide technical support on automated lines.
  • Perform production line validation for all new programs and ensure smooth operation.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of programs and configurations.
  • Follow procedures and instructions.
  • Meet IPC standards.
  • Communicate work progress and encountered difficulties to the director.
  • Participate in the continuous improvement of manufacturing processes;
  • Work as a team with operators as well as other programmers.
  • Any other related tasks.

Technical Knowledge

  • Knowledge of electronic components (values / polarities).
  • Knowledge of SMT machines and associated programming software.
  • Previous experience in an electronics production environment.
  • Knowledge of IPC-A-610 manufacturing standards.
  • Programming of automated machinery (Universal, DEK).
  • Knowledge of other SMT assembly equipment, an asset.
  • General knowledge of ISO 9001:2015, IATF 16949:2016 standards.

  • Ability to diagnose and solve technical problems.
