Job description
Reporting to the Sales Director, the Inside Sales Representative plays a key role in the sales process, operating primarily within the company.
They act as the main point of contact to respond to customer inquiries, generate opportunities, and ensure end-to-end follow-up throughout the sales process.
They are also responsible for developing and maintaining strong business relationships with existing and potential customers, while actively supporting the outside sales team.
Responsibilities and Objectives
- Make outbound calls to prospect new customers and qualify potential leads
- Manage customer communications, build trusted relationships, and understand needs in order to propose tailored solutions
- Respond quickly to customer requests (pricing, availability, specifications, lead times)
- Keep the customer database (CRM) up to date and document all interactions
- Provide exemplary after-sales service and ensure customer satisfaction
- Prepare and send quotes and proposals in collaboration with the outside sales team
- Use negotiation skills to close sales, ensuring thorough follow-up through to transaction completion
- Provide regular sales reports, forecasts, and analyses
- Participate in team meetings; share market information and trends
- Support the marketing team with certain campaigns or promotions
Required Skills
- Degree in administration, business, or marketing (or equivalent experience)
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in inside sales, customer service, or prospecting
- Knowledge of the electronics field
- Proficiency with customer relationship management (CRM) tools and sales software
- Knowledge of the manufacturing sector
- Bilingual (French and English), in order to communicate with English-speaking customers or suppliers as needed
